Shirley Ann (Morris) Featherston

Shirley Ann Featherston, 75, of Petersburg, passed away April 2, 2021 in Petersburg, IN. She was born August 2, 1945 in Winslow, IN to Eugene and Velasta (Deen) Morris. She married her husband JD Featherston on April 15, 1961 in Hammond, IN. They retired to Petersburg, IN in 2003 after serving the Methodist ministry for 42 years. Shirley was a member of the Glezen Revival Center where she enjoyed being active in VBS, funeral dinners, and annual candle lit services.

Shirley is survived by her children, David (Rhonda) Featherston of Calvert City, KY and Deborah (Daryl) Stalls of Paris, TN; grandchildren, Carrie Johnson and Josh Featherston; great grandchildren, Alex Johnson and Jensen Featherston; sister, Connie Anderson of Petersburg; brother, Terry Morris of Beaver Dam, KY; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, JD Featherston on January 27, 2008; parents, Velasta and Eugene Morris; and sister, Becky Overbey.

Services will take place at 3 PM EST on Saturday, April 10, at O.D. Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN with visitation held from 1 PM until service time. Pastor Joe Henson will be officiating and burial will take place at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
