Sara M. (Cockerham) Stilwell

Sara M. Stilwell, 81, of Winslow, Indiana, passed away at Deaconess Gateway on Friday, September 16, 2022.

She was born in Petersburg, Indiana, on June 23, 1941 to Lee and Edna (Fox) Cockerham.

Sara attended the Petersburg 1st Church of God and was a homemaker.

Sara is survived by daughter Annette Sharp, son Kevin Stilwell, sisters Nelda Ellis & Cloetta Sipes, grandchildren Tabitha Willis, Dustin Stilwell, Trisha Bottoms, Michael Matthews, Maggie Stilwell, Jason & Matthew Hall, and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilbert, daughters Debra Brothers and Tina Matthews, brothers Travis & Odell Cockerham, sisters Lois Shuckman & Wanda Howell, and granddaughter Nicole Stilwell.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm EST on Monday, September 19, 2022, at O.D. Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana, with burial to follow at Stilwell Cemetery in Pikeville.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:00am until service time.
