Mickey Harland Heiple, 75, formerly of Petersburg, IN, passed away November 13, 2023 in Evansville, IN. He was born July 24, 1948 to Isaac and Madge (Disney) Heiple in Washington, IN. Mick graduated from Petersburg High School Class of 1966. He worked for many years as a conductor for the Conrail Railroad. He was a proud member of the Petersburg Moose Lodge #1617, Petersburg VFW Post #3587, and the Elks Lodge. Mick lived life to the fullest. He was always on the go “green light” to his many adventures; on his boat at Dale Hollow, his motorcycle rides, or touring the nation in his RV. He was a collector of experiences and stories that were often shared around a campfire. He had that million-dollar smile that won the hearts of many. When you stop by for a visit, sit down and tell him a story, he will be listening. He will be deeply missed by all that know him.
Mick is survived by his sons, Mark (Jyoti) Heiple and Jeff (Debbie) Byrd; daughter, Kelly (Glen) Gill; grandchildren, Jake Byrd, Candice Gill, Grace Gill, Faith Gill, Kareena Heiple, and Maya Heiple; special friend, Judy Alexander; and several nieces and nephews.
