Linda Joyce Walker, age 74, of Evansville, IN, entered into Heavenly rest on September 8, 2023, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born on November 18, 1948, in Washington, IN to Wallace T. Walker and Betty Lou (Calvin) Walker.
Linda is survived by her three sisters, Phyllis (Mark) Purl of Evansville, Leslie (David) Green of Petersburg, Beverly (Larry) Alexander of Winslow, three nephews, Jeremy (Michelle) Cundiff of Florida, Matthew (Elizabeth) Green of Evansville, Michael (Rachael) Green of Petersburg, and 2 great nephews and 4 great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, and nephews Anthony Scott Cundiff and Jesse Wayne Alexander.
Linda made her home in Evansville, IN and was a member of Oasis Church there. She worked many years as an accountant. She always loved animals and had many pets of her own throughout her life, which led her to start fostering animals. She had a heart of gold for all animals, especially those that had been mistreated. Linda volunteered for Another Chance for Animals. She will be missed by many.
Plans are being finalized to have a private graveside service in Hazelton, IN, at Shiloh Cemetery, where her maternal grandparents Levi and Minnie Calvin are buried. It was her wish to be buried there, and she will be laid to rest beside her Grandfather Levi Calvin.
