James A. Pell

James A. Pell, 68, of Petersburg, Indiana, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021.

He was born in Brazil, Indiana on July 18, 1952 to John and Evelyn (Alsip) Pell.

He was an agent for State Farm insurance in Petersburg for 35 years.  He served on many committees as member of several local civic organizations, including the Buffalo Trace, Discover Downtown Petersburg, Phi Kappa Psi, Petersburg Lions Club, Kiwanis, Moose & Masonic Lodge, and Veale Creek Theater.  He also served on the committee to build Prides Creek Golf Course. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter Clara.

Jim is survived by his wife Kathy; son Blake (Chelsea) Pell of Bloomington; daughter Lindsey (Brian) Kiesel of Petersburg; grandchildren Isaac, Lucy, Fiona, and Amelia; brothers John & Donald (Paula) Pell of Florida, and Robert (Jan) Pell of Brazil, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 4pm-8pm on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at O.D. Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana.  There will be no services with cremation to follow.
