Gordon E. Cook

Gordon E. Cook, 84, of Otwell, Indiana, passed away on January 5, 2023, at Brickyard Healthcare in Petersburg, Indiana.

Gordon was born in Petersburg to Theodore and Ada (Jenne) Cook on October 7, 1938.  He attended Petersburg High School and graduated in the Class of 1957.  He lived most of his life in Petersburg, but in later years moved to Otwell.  He loved to hunt and fish when he had the opportunity and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He worked for Indiana Southern Railroad for many years, then drove cross-country trucking and travelled all over the U.S.  After retiring, he joined PCARC as a direct care staff member, and later at the Stendal dump site.

He is survived by his daughter, Tara Summers (companion Robert Willis) of Otwell; 9 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren; stepsons Jeff & Tony Earls; and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia (Wells) Cook, sister Lois J. Malott; and son Gordon Dean Cook.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, Indiana.
