Evelyn Joyce Woods

Evelyn Joyce Woods, 69, of Petersburg, passed away February 22, 2020 in Jasper, IN. She was born on July 31, 1950 to Frank and Lillian (Melvin) Furman in Daviess County, IN. She was a postal worker and retired from the United States Postal Service in Vincennes, IN. She was a proud member of the Women of the Moose of Moose Lodge #1740 in Petersburg, IN.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Christina Russell of Petersburg and Angie Edwards of Washington, IN; grandchildren, Timothy (Allie) Ennis, Tyler (Elizabeth) Garland, Wesley Edwards, and Ashlyn Edwards; and great grandchildren, Brynlee Garland and Clara Garland Solano. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo “Wesley” Woods and her parents.

Services for Evelyn will take place 11 AM EST on Thursday, February 27, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN and visitation from 4-8 PM EST on Wednesday, February 26, at the funeral home. The Women of the Moose will perform a service in honor of Evelyn at 7 PM on Wednesday evening during visitation. Burial will follow the funeral service at Arnold Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Evelyn Woods and mailed to St. Vincent Foundation at 8402 Harcourt Rd. Suite 210 in Indianapolis, IN 46260. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
