Obituary
David “Dave” A Dorsey was born to the late Gene Dorsey and Vonda Brenton on May 18,1950. He peacefully passed at his home on February 19, 2023, at 72 years of age.
He is survived by daughters, Kelli (Troy) Gordon, Karri (Keith) Brock, Michelle (Tom) Neal and Dawn McCary, sisters Judy ( Jack) Arterberry and Rebecca Gregory and sister-in-law Gayle Dorsey. Grandchildren Justin Gordon, Nicholas Gordon, Shelby Gordon, Kaine Gordon, Jayden Gordon and Gage Gordon, Bryant (Kendra) Brock, Sarah Brock, Jerod Neal and Colton Jenkins; great grandchildren Avery Gordon and Brelynn Gordon and niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda and brother Tommy Dorsey.
He worked many years at Yankeetown Dock and was a member of the UMWA local 1907. He enjoyed camping at the Montgomery camp ground, spending time with family, friends and companion Sassy, his beloved cat and drinking his favorite beverage, a cold Busch Light.
Harris & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted in his care. A private graveside service will be conducted at a later date.
