Catherine "Katie" Oxendine

Catherine ‘Katie’ Oxendine, 89, passed away on January 10, 2021 surrounded by her family.  

She was a deeply religious lady who was active in the Winslow United Methodist Church until its closing.  In years past she taught Sunday School, Bible School and was active in the UMW. She volunteered at the Bread of Life Ministry and assisted in delivering Meals on Wheels. She was a devoted wife and mother of 4 children.  Katie enjoyed working in the flower garden and watching her bird feeders. Quilting, sewing and scrap booking were hobbies she also enjoyed.  She loved spending time with her grand children and great grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Paul Donald Oxendine, mother and father, Alex and Aileen Darbutt,  brother, Joe Darbutt, and sister-in-law Barbara Jane Darbutt.

 
She is survived by 4 children, Paul (Eileen) Donald Oxendine II; Mary Lou (John) Dersch; Patty (Ron) Hamm; Vicki (Gary) Sickbert; 13 grandchildren and 35 great grand children. Also brother and sister-in-law David (Gail) Darbutt , sister and brother-in-law Mary Ann  (Jim) Fuelle and sister-in-law Diane Darbutt.

A private graveside service will be held at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made a local food bank.
