Wilma Ruth Brewster, 78, of Petersburg, passed away October 2, 2024 in Petersburg, IN. She was born January 31, 1946 to Homer Kendall and Marie Alexander in Petersburg. Wilma worked as the Matron at the Pike County Jail for 28 years. Wilma loved going to church and traveling. She adored any animal she came in contact with but especially dogs.

Wilma is survived by her sons, Richard (Sherry) Brewster and Brian (Kandi) Brewster; daughter, Lisa Brewster; grandchildren, Jared (Jessica) Perry, Cheyenne (Travis) Allen, Lacy (David) Groves, Austin Shepard, Dalton Rodriguez, Alicia (Will) Labhart, Jacob (Ginger) Brewster, Quenton Brewster, Brandon (Samantha) Schwartzlose, and Neil (Shannon) Brewster; multiple great grandchildren; and her brother, Jimmy Kendall.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Paul Brewster.

A graveside service for Wilma will be held at 10 AM EST on Wednesday, October 9, at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, IN. Pastor Ross Williams will be officiating. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
