Vonnie Holland passed away at the Brickyard Nursing Home on July 24, 2025. She was 101 years old. Vonnie was born on April 1, 1924, to Grace (Miley) and Clarence Ropp in Oakland City, Indiana.

Vonnie married William Marion Holland on April 28, 1945. She worked at the IGA Store in Petersburg for over 25 years. Vonnie was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Petersburg, Indiana.

Vonnie is survived by: sister Mary (Ropp) Hall; daughters-in-law Shirley Holland and Sandra Holland; 9 grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Vonnie was preceded in death by her husband William; sons, William "Butch" Holland and Milton Holland; daughters, Linda (Frank) Ropp and Patricia Weathers; and sister, Oleva James.

Visitation will be from 10:00AM EST until Noon on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana, followed by a Graveside Service at 12:30PM EST at Walnut Hills Cemetery officiated by Pastor Bobby Cox. Online condolences can be made at www.odharrisfuneralhome.com
