Tamara I. McQueen, 72, of Winslow, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Tammy was born in Washington, Indiana, on December 2, 1950, to Lester and Dorothy (Farris) McQueen.

She graduated from Cannelton High School and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree Cum Laude from University of Evansville in 1972.  While at UE, Tammy was a member of Alpha Tau Delta, Alpha Lambda Delta, the honor society Phi Kappa Phi, Sisters of the Laurel, and the Cap and Gown National Honor Society.  She began her career at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville before moving on to Egleston Children's Hospital in Henrietta, Georgia.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Twila.  Her mother, Dorothy, survives.

In accordance with her wishes, Tamara will be cremated with no public services.
