Steven E. Carter, age 77, entered into Heaven on November 27, 2020.

Beloved husband of Luzell Carter; loving father of Eric Carter (Fiancée Terri) and Jalyn (Mike) Sanford; devoted grandfather of Ashlyn, Carter and Tyler Sanford; dear brother of Brenda (Max) Barrett, Cathy (Dave) Nugent and Sally (Larry) Readle; brother-in-law Terry (Cindy) Havill; mother-in-law Mary Havill and many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents John and Wynonia (Johnnie) Carter and Father-in-law Dee Havill.

Steve was a retired school teacher of 45 years, coach, realtor and farmer.  He enjoyed reading,  fishing, hunting and trapping, gardening, antiques and volunteering at Somebody's place in Petersburg.

Private family visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 with public graveside services following at 3pm. Graveside services will be held at the White River Chapel Williams Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to Somebody's Place, Bethany Christian Church of Washington, Indiana, First Christian Church of Petersburg, Indiana, or P.A.W.S.
