Sharon Bennett

Sharon Bennett, 75, of Petersburg, passed September 1, 2026 at her residence. She was born July 25, 1951 to Bertie and Thelma (Helderman) Taylor in Vincennes, IN. Sharon worked as a CNA throughout her life. Her favorite hobbies were quilting, crocheting, and sewing.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Jody (Phil) Claridge and Sondra (Jason) Collins; grandchildren, Erin (Houston) Ramsey, Trevor (Kari) Claridge, Shai Collins, Danielle (Tyler) Wethington, and Derek Collins; 11 great grandchildren; her brother, Wes (Penny) Taylor; sisters, Karen Ellerman and Patty Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael Taylor.

Services for Sharon will take place at 2 PM EST on Sunday, September 6, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN with visitation starting from 12 PM EST until service time. Burial will follow at Hamline Chapel Cemetery in Monroe City.
