Sharon Ann Ashby, 84, of Petersburg, passed away March 15, 2025 at Brickyard Healthcare in Petersburg. She was born January 30, 1941 to Blythe and Lois (Selby) Bell in Petersburg, IN. She married Gary "Sonny" Ashby on June 22, 1957. Sharon worked as a bus driver, taking countless children to school and other events over the years. She attended the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church in Somerville, IN.

Sharon is survived by her sons, Danny (Sheree) Ashby and Keith (Christina) Ashby; daughter, Rhea Miller; grandchildren, Amanda Maloney, Jake Miller, Brennan Miller, Kylee (Mark) Altieri, Casey Ashby, Ashley Feltner, and Emilee Ashby; great grandchildren, Chris Maloney, Richy Maloney, Meghan Maloney, Sonny Ashby, Natilyn Ashby, and Grayson Ashby; a brother, Jerry Ray Bell; her sister, Paula Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, on May 18, 1997, Gary "Sonny" Ashby; her parents; and brothers, Steven Bell, Larry Bell, and Gary Bell.

A service for Sharon will take place at 2 PM EST on Thursday, March 20, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN with visitation from 11 AM EST until service time. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Campbelltown. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
