Sharon Arlene Wagler, 76, of Evansville, IN, passed away November 22, 2022 in Newburgh, IN. She was born November 2, 1946 to Albert Harold and Blondina (Patterson) Ashby in Washington, IN. She attended Washington High School. She enjoyed needle point, crocheting, and tending to her flowers in her garden.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Peyton Simmons; grandchildren, Chantel Powell, Ashlee Powell, and Shyanne Simmons; great grandchildren, Graydon Dobbins, Kailee Powell, Kira Powell, Jameson Dobbins, Remington Powell, Matthew Mercer, and Everett Powell; brothers, Dennis Ashby, Jack Ashby, and Kenneth Ashby; sisters, Diane Fults and Karen DeJarnett; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Wagler and her parents, Harold and Blondina Ashby.

A graveside service will take place at 12 PM EST on Monday, November 28, at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, IN with Pastor Ron Ficklin officiating. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
