Rose Matteson, 63, passed away October 26 at her home. She was born February 14, 1954 to John and Martha Leighty in Huntingburg, IN. She worked for the Oakland City Building Supply and Leighty's Trading Post. She is survived by her husband, Rodney Matteson; son, James (Dana) Hughes; mother, Martha Leighty; sister, Linda Alexander; grandchildren, Austin David Hughes and Cheyenne Hughes. Preceded in death by her father, John Leighty; sister Betty Treadway; and grandchild, Hayden John Hughes. Services will be held 2 PM Sunday Oct. 29 at the Mt. Pisgah Church in Augusta. Visitation will he 4-8 PM Saturday Oct. 28 at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Women's Christian Ministry of Pike Co.
