Ronald Carter, 75, of Petersburg, passed away November 10, 2024 at his residence. He was born January 16, 1949 to Donald Edward and Dessie Kay (Morton) Carter in Washington, IN. He was a proud member of the United Mine Workers Association and a 50 year member of the Pike Masonic Lodge No. 121. Ron married his wife, Etta Kay Carter, on April 12, 1969.

Ron is survived by his sons, JR (Danielle) Carter and Kevin (Shawna) Carter; grandchildren, Nate Carter, Kody Carter, Bethany Carter, and Dominick Smith; and a sister, Brenda (Mike) Wilson.

Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Etta Kay Carter and his parents.

A visitation for Ron will take place from 4 – 8 PM EST on Friday, November 15, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN with a Masonic Service performed by the Pike Masonic Lodge 121 will take place at 7 PM EST. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
