Robert W. Royalty, 85, of Winslow passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.

Bob was born February 9, 1935 to Bennett and Eliza (Furgeson) Royalty.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a coal miner and was a member of the UMWA for over 40 years. He attended the Muren Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 7 day old great-grandson Kaiden Lamar Meeks in 2019.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Doretta; son Jerry (Callie) Royalty of Petersburg; daughters Carolyn Freeland of Fleetwood, PA, Donna (Dennis) Oldham of Newburgh, IN, and Rhonda Enlow of Fort Branch, IN; sisters Jean Williams of Muskogee, OK, Mary (Robert) Hume of Winslow, Thelda (Darrell) Woolsey of Bartow, FL, and Wanda Russell of Petersburg; grandchildren Jody Meeks, Chad Freeland, Bennett Royalty, Amber Belanger, Sandy Royalty, Jedidiah Oldham, Krystina Schoening, Kelsey Rose, and Lindsey Royalty; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1pm on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Augusta Cemetery.  Due to State of Indiana Covid restrictions, masks and social distancing must be maintained at the graveside.
