Robert P. Blaize, 83, of Petersburg, died at 7:08 a.m. Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. Born July 23, 1934, in Bowman, he was the son of Fred and Ida (Stewart) Blaize. He was a retired serviceman. He is survived by his wife, Donna Blaize, whom he married June 12, 1955; four daughters, Becky Barnard of Washington, Barbara Collins, Anita Poselwait and Paula Blaize, all of Petersburg; three brothers, Frank Blaize of Colorado, John Blaize of Florida and Jim Blaize of Petersburg; a sister, Mary Schatz of Bicknell; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Twin Oaks Church in Petersburg, with Pastor Robin Overby officiating. Burial will be in Twin Oaks Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg.
