Patty Lou Cox, 80, of Petersburg passed away September 1, 2021 at her residence. She was born July 27, 1941 in Petersburg, IN to William and Ruby (Kirk) Slaven. Patty was a 22 year member of the Petersburg First Baptist Church in Petersburg, IN. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, and antiquing.

Patty is survived by her daughter, Nikole Jones of Petersburg; grandchildren, Alyssa (Seth) Hollander, Madison Jones, and Reece Jones; and her sister, Jo Ann Willis of New Bern, NC.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Cox; her son, Mike Cox; her brother, Bill Slaven; and her parents.

A celebration of life will take place at 6 PM EST on Tuesday, September 7, at the Petersburg First Baptist Church with visitation from 4 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Micah 6:8 Project at www.micah68project.com. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
