Patty Henson, 86, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2026, at The Villages at Oak Ridge in Washington, Indiana.

She was born in Petersburg, Indiana, to Charles & Julia (Coleman) Goodpasture. She attended Petersburg First Church of God and had worked as a homemaker, also working several years with Head Start.

Patty is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Henson, daughter Becky Henson, brothers Charles, Jack & Bobby Goodpasture and Donald Wolven, sisters Charlene Young & Joyce Miles, and son-in-law Scott Sorgius.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Sorgius; son, Donnie (Melanie) Henson; grandchildren, Morgan Henson, Maverick (Shelby) Henson, Cameron Henson, Coleman Henson, Tyce (Kayla) Sorgius, and Peyton Sorgius; great grandchildren, Holden and Wes Henson; sister, Betty Adams, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana, with burial to follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery officiated by Pastor Joe Henson and Pastor Mike Roach. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
