Norman "Norm" Lee Sweet, of Winslow, Indiana, passed away at 4:45 p.m. on Monday, January 20,2025 surrounded by his loving daughter.

He was born on December 8, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born to Norman Sweet and Juanita (Miller) Sweet.

He moved from St. Louis, Missouri to Winslow, Indiana where he worked many jobs, had several hobbies of being a hunter, storm spotter/chaser, The "Weather Wizard" musician, carpenter, aviation, very active in the community, a member of the Winslow Lions Club, and also a co-writer of Sweets Column since September 23, 2003.

He was preceded in death by his parents Norman & Juanita Sweet, and also his beloved wife of 47 years Barbara Sweet.

He is survived by a daughter, Laura (Sweet) Hensley of Winslow, Indiana; 2 granddaughters, Kyana Hensley of Eckerty, Indiana, and Grace Hensley of Winslow, Indiana.  He is also survived by his brother in law, George (Deby) Virden of Benton, Illinois, and a brother-in-law, Theodore (Ted) Nicholson of Alfordsville, Indiana. A brother Joseph (Lori) Sweet of St. Louis, MO, and a sister Anna Webb of Wisconsin.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
