Nancy Sue (Horrell) Davis, 77, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019 at her home surrounded by family. She was born August 17, 1942 in Petersburg, IN to the late George and Hilda (Beck) Horrell.

Nancy was married to her high school sweetheart, Donnie Davis, on June 20, 1959 and together they were married for 58 years. Donnie preceded her in death on August 21, 2017.

Nancy was a graduate of Petersburg High School and an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Petersburg, IN. She taught Sunday School for more than 40 years.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Joe (Donna) Davis of Hebron, KY, Jeff (Chrystale) Davis of Petersburg, Brian (Angie) Davis of Petersburg; daughter, Penelope (Bruce) Fuhrman of Rockvale, TN; grandchildren, Josh (Valia) Davis, Morgan (George) Rechtin, Megan (Josh) Meeks, Jeffrey (Megan) Davis, Ashley Davis, Allyson Davis, Cody Davis, Hannah Fuhrman, Conner Fuhrman, Natalie Fuhrman, and Lucretia Miller; great grandchildren, Anechka and Johnston Davis, Madison and Bella Rechtin, Jaxon Dull, Baylin and Westin Davis, Gunner and Reed Meeks, Hayden and Hadley Davis; great-great grandchild, Jayce Rechtin.

Visitation will take place Friday, Sept. 27, from 4-8 PM EST at the First United Methodist Church in Petersburg. The funeral service will be 10 AM EST on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the First United Methodist Church. Pastor Mike Punke will be officiating and burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Nancy to the First United Methodist Church and/or the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child Project.
