Michael A. Walters, 29, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Michael was born on December 9, 1991 in Evansville, Indiana. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert & Sondra Harris. Michael is survived by: parents Bobby & Gretchen (Harris) Walters; brother Gabriel Harris Walters; and, grandparents Roy & Diana Walters, all of Dutchtown. Michael faced many physical challenges throughout his short life due to cerebral palsy. Even with his limitations, Michael made a lasting change in everyone he met. Michael had an infectious laugh that he loved to share. He enjoyed snuggling with his cats and dogs. Michael adored his family, especially his Dad. Michael was able to spend the majority of his life at home with the help of many home healthcare nurses. In these last few years, Michael was well cared for at Golden Living Center in Petersburg. During Covid-19 lock downs, the staff would often call home so that Michael could talk with his family. He especially liked to listen to his dad Bobby and brother Gabriel tell tall tales and recite the story of Winnie the Pooh Bear & Tiger too. Private services were held last week at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg. Michael was buried next to his grandparents at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, Indiana.
