Marie Blackmon (Mary Josephine), 95, formerly of Petersburg, Indiana, passed away on March 10, 2025, at Villa St. Francis Catholic Care Center in Olathe, Kansas.

Mrs. Blackmon was born on January 12, 1930, in Greenville, Mississippi, to Geno and Josephine Gamberini.  She attended Hornady Memorial Baptist Church in Petersburg.

She is survived by her two daughters:  Pamela Daniluk (Mike) of Lexington, Kentucky, and Kathy Brown of Overland Park, Kansas;  one grandson, Josh Brown, of Otwell, Indiana, and one great grandson, Ethan Brown.  Survivors also include two sisters:  Gloria Marshall and Linda Cocilova. Her husband, Russell, preceded her in death in 2013.  Also preceding her in death were four brothers:  Alex, Jimmy, Michael, and Jasper Gamberini. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19, from 11:30 am to 1 pm at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana.  Graveside service to follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, Indiana.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or your favorite charity.
