Marian "Sug" Florence McLain, 94, of Augusta, IN passed away November 21, 2019 at her home. She was born August 7, 1925 in Otwell, IN to Cassel and Helen (Tyler) Thomas. Marian was a homemaker but worked in the wartime industry in a parachute factory in Washington, IN during World War II. She was a member of the Rug Hooking Guild and a long time member of the Mt. Pisgah General Baptist Church in Augusta.

Marian is survived by her son, Mike (Judy) McLain of Otwell; daughters, Sherri Wesley of Winslow and Cathy Harker of Arthur; 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chic" McLain; son, Kevin McLain; grandson, Scott McClain; great-great grandson, Connor McClain; her parents; brothers, Dwayne, Kenneth, Bob, and Harlan Thomas; and a sister, Maxine Thomas.

Services for Marian will be at 10 AM EST Wednesday, November 27, at the Mt. Pisgah General Baptist Church in Augusta, IN. Visitation will take place from 3-7 PM EST on Tuesday, November 26, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN. Pastor Julie Pimlot will be officiating and burial will follow at Augusta Cemetery. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
