Louetta Brenton, 96, of Petersburg, passed away December 28 at Amber Manor in Petersburg. She was born on July 27, 1922 to Thomas and Ellen Corten in Pike County. For many years she owned the Rumbletown Grocery Store.

She is survived by her sons, Jack (Susie) Brenton and Gene (Betty Marie) Brenton; grandchildren, Jeff Brenton, Will Teague, Rachel Doades, Jennifer Maddox, Stephanie Brenton, Kyle Brenton, and Beth Brenton; great grandchildren, Chase and Bailey Brenton; Ivy and Max Brenton; Trace Faulk, Micah and Damion Young and Ethan and Abbie Doades, and Quinlan and Eibhlin Teague.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred J. Brenton; son, Wilfred Keith Brenton; daughter, Mary Ellen Teague; and her parents.

Services for Louetta will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 2, at 10 AM EST at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan 1, from 4-8 PM EST at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Willis Cemetery in Petersburg. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
