Larry Richard Houchins, 82, of Chandler, passed away September 13, in Evansville, IN. He was born April 19, 1940 in Monroe City, IN to Johnson and Sylvia (Robinson) Houchins. He graduated from Petersburg High School Class of 1958. He worked as a project manager for various construction companies throughout his life. Larry proudly enjoyed taking care of his lawn and his John Deere. Some of his hobbies included golf, fishing, and sitting on his front porch.

Larry is survived by his wife, Betty Kent Houchins; son, Doug (Nancy) Houchins; daughter, Carolyn (David) Kolley; grandchildren, Amanda (David) Moats, Josh (Kayla) Houchins, and Josh Kolley; great grandchildren, Amanda, Julian, Ava, Liam, and Rowen; brothers, John Houchins and William (Connie) Houchins; nieces and nephews; and grand dogs, Gizmo, Gadget, and Piper Moatsy.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service for Larry will take place at 11 AM EST on Friday, September 16, at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, IN. Pastor Gary Arnold will be officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations please be made to Walnut Hills Cemetery and may be mailed to PO Box 217 Petersburg, IN 47567. O. D.
