Larry Paul Barr, 70, of Petersburg IN passed away December 14, 2024, at his residence. He was born September 4, 1954, to Jerry Kell and Pauline (King) Barr in Princeton, IN. Larry served as pastor at the Immanuel Southern Baptist Church in Petersburg for 18 years. He loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed golfing and fishing. He married his wife, Ellen (Willard) Barr on August 18, 1984.

Larry is survived by his wife, Ellen (Willard) Barr; sons, Larry (LaTrisha) Barr and Jacob Barr; daughters, Sarah Barr and Jackie (Tim) Ashby; mother, Pauline (King) Barr; brothers, Bruce Barr and Jeff Barr; grandchildren, Karleigh Barr, Elliana Barr, Daisy Drake, Jackson Drake and Ryleigh Zenthofer; and several other grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his biological father, Jerry Kell; his adoptive father, Alton Barr; his son, Tom Rowe; and a sister, Angela Ballard.

A visitation for Larry will take place from 4-8 p.m. EST on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN. The service will take place at 11 a.m. EST on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, at the funeral home with visitation from 8 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Walnut Hills cemetery and Pastor Gary Pancake will be officiating.
