Kenneth W. Shafer, 77, of Campbelltown, IN passed away September 12, 2021 in Jasper, IN. He was born April 14, 1944 to Garrett Frank and Edna Shafer in Oakland City, IN. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps and retired from Old Ben Coal Company after 36 years.

Kenneth is survived by his sons, Jason (Shannon) Shafer and Nicholas Shafer; daughter, Danuielle Shafer; stepson, Owen (Crystal) Hawkins; 9 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren; brother, Mick (Shirley) Shafer; nieces, Judy and Kelly; nephew, Michael; and a special person close to his heart and lifelong friend, Ululani.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Shafer; sons, Kenneth Wayne and Anthony Brent Shafer; and sister, Jill H. Shafer.

A graveside service will take place at 11 AM EST on Friday, Sept. 17, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Campbelltown. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
