Kenneth Dale Mitchell, 62, of Petersburg, IN, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2021. Dale was born on October 2, 1958 to Kenneth and Gloraetta (Hartley) Mitchell.

Dale graduated from Pike Central High School in 1976. He worked as a Communication Technician for Contel. He enjoyed fishing, camping, going mudding, and mushroom hunting. He loved good music and cherished long phone conversations and photographs.

Dale is survived by his daughters, Mindi (Brad) Morris and Amy Mitchell; sister, Shirley (Brian) Van Meter; brother, James (Lynn) Barrett; 3 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Paul Barrett.

A graveside service will take place for Dale at 1:30 PM EST on Friday, May 28, at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, IN with a visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM EST at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg prior to the graveside service. Due to COVID 19 precautions the wearing of face masks, social distancing and use of hand sanitizer is recommended.
