Jo Ann Brewster, 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, in Petersburg, IN. She was born September 17, 1934 in Winslow, IN to Lloyd and Nellie (Morton) Bonenberger. She enjoyed spending time with family, living in Florida during retirement, and bluegrass and gospel music. She also enjoyed playing standup bass and watching Jimmy Swaggart. Jo Ann is survived by her sons, Mike Brewster-Birdseye and Edward (Catherine) Brewster-Carmel; daughter, Karla Brewster Clinch-Deerfield Beach, FL; grandchildren, Ashley (James) Niece-Fort Branch, Michael Brewster-Princeton, and Colin (Rebecca) Brewster-Jordan, MN; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Dejarnett-Oakland City; brother, Larry David Bonenberger-Tampa, FL; and 12 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brewster; parents; sisters, Barbara Hamm and Billie Tuttle; and daughter in law, Debbie Brewster. Graveside services for Jo Ann will be held at 11 AM EST at Spurgeon Cemetery in Spurgeon, IN. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Pastor Allen Houchins will be officiating. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
