Billie Jo Ann Davis Lamon, 94, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2026, at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg, Indiana, where she had lived for several years. She was born on February 11, 1932, to Madge Deffendahl Davis and Frances L. Davis. Jo Ann married Lawrence “Bud” Lamon, originally from Oakland City, Indiana, on December 24, 1949.

Jo Ann never met a stranger and enjoyed interacting with everyone she met. When at home, she enjoyed gardening and family time. In later years, she enjoyed walking, reading, working puzzles, and rarely missed a bingo game or any other activity at Amber Manor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bobby Davis and her husband, Lawrence “Bud” Lamon. She is survived by Bud’s nieces and nephews. 

Greg Davis will officiate the graveside service at 2:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, October 29,2026, at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
