James C. Seifers, 81, of McCutchanville, Indiana, died at St. Vincent Hospital on September 23, 2026.

Jim was born in Patoka, Illinois, to Harry & Virginia (Vore) Seifers on August 2, 1945. He attended school there until his parents moved the family back to Indiana in 1960, where he graduated from Mt. Olympus School in 1963. He briefly attended Oakland City College, and in 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served one tour in Vietnam, with a total of 4 years of service as a pavement maintenance specialist, reaching the rank of Sergeant. Upon his return home, he worked as a driver and bookkeeper for Scott Farm & Home Service, Seifers Oil Company, and GCARC, and also as proprietor of Lookers Bar in the 1990s on the Square in Princeton.

He was a beloved friend to all, especially his friends at the Little Track and Princeton Moose Lodge.

Jim was a disabled American veteran, and he remained a patriotic and proud Vietnam Vet until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Gene Corn, and his brother, Jon Seifers.

He is survived by his son, Brian Seifers; stepdaughter, Pam Slinker; and most of all, left to mourn his passing, his beloved cat, Lucky.

According to his wishes, Jim was cremated and will be buried at a later date with his family at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mount Olympus, Indiana.
