Jesse "Tom" Thomas Loveless, 84, of Petersburg, passed away January 18, 2025 in Jasper, IN. He was born September 19, 1940 to Ivel and Rene (Street) Loveless in Petersburg. Tom worked as a coal miner in Pike County for Old Ben Coal Company. He was a member of the UMWA. Some of his favorite things to do were hunting, fishing, and working around his farm. He married his wife, Sandy Loveless, on March 2, 1963.
Tom is survived by his wife, Sandy Loveless; his son, Jeff (Sharon) Loveless; daughters, Becky (Joe) Miles and Jill Loveless Popp; grandchildren, Brandi Meece, Brittany Staake, Bethany Glispie, Joshua Popp, Clinton "CJ" Popp, Eric Loveless, and Erin Adams; 19 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Frank Loveless; and his sisters, Mary Etta Hawkins, Bonnie Stone, and Jean DeJarnett.
Services for Tom will take place at 1 PM EST on Thursday, January 23, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN with visitation from 11 AM EST until service time. Pastor Bobby Cox will be officiating and burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, IN. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
