Jerry Ray Bell

Jerry Ray Bell, 69, formerly of Petersburg, passed away at his residence in Owensville, IN on August 13, 2026. He was born November 14, 1956 to Blythe and Lois (Selby) Bell in Washington, IN. Jerry graduated from Petersburg High School Class of 1974. He worked for Jasper Desk and Masterbrand Cabinets for many years. Jerry loved listening to music, watching basketball, and his old western shows.

Jerry is survived by his son, Blythe Bell; daughter, Lily Bell; sister, Paula (Art) Roberts; the mother of his children, Christy Bell; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry Bell, Gary Bell, and Steve Bell; and a sister, Sharon (Sonny) Ashby.

A visitation for Jerry will take place from 11 AM to 12 PM EST on Tuesday, August 18, at Harris Funeral Home. No formal service will take place at the funeral home but a short committal will be held at Walnut Hills Cemetery following the visitation. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
