James Larry Miller, 82, of Petersburg, passed away June 25 at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg. He was born January 27, 1940 to AJ and Hazel (Loveless) Miller in Petersburg. He worked for many years as a coal miner at Old Ben II.

James is survived by his sons, Larry (Brenda) Miller, Terry (Sheryl) Miller, Jody (Kim Ray) Miller, and Tracy (Patty) Lauderdale; daughter, Pam (Jeff) Phillips; sister, Joan Willis; 8 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Miller; his parents; and his brother, Homer Miller.

Services for James will take place at 1 PM EST on Wednesday, June 29, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN with visitation from 10 AM EST until service time. Pastor Elaine Young will officiate and burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
