James Martin Brock, age 64, of Petersburg, Indiana, passed away on July 18, 2026. Born on July 9, 1962, James was a kind, soft-spoken man of few words, but immense heart. He expressed his deep love for his family and friends through his actions, his steady presence, and his quiet dependability.

For many years, James dedicated his skills and precision as a machinist at Holzmeyer Die & Mold. Outside of work, he found peace in the simple pleasures of life. An avid fisherman, he was always happiest near the water with a line in. When he wasn’t fishing, he was a lifelong reader and a passionate fan of science fiction and fantasy, drawn to grand, heroic stories and imaginative worlds.

James was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sandra, and his father, Jack.

He is survived by his children, Justin, Shannon, Allen, and Lauren, as well as his brother, Steven. His legacy lives on in the quiet kindness he passed down to his family and the fond memories they share.

In accordance with James wishes, services will be private.
