Gary Lee Kinnaman, 77, of Petersburg, passed away on March 30, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Gary was born on May 5th, 1945 to Red and Phyllis (Bedwell) Kinnaman in LaPorte, IN. After graduating from Carlisle in 1963, he went on to become a master carpenter.  Gary would spend the majority of his career as the Director of the IN/KY Carpenter/Millwright Apprenticeship program.  Gary was a 50 year member of the carpenter's union, a member of the Petersburg First Baptist Church and also Timeless Classic Car Club.  Gary enjoyed working in his shop, playing golf, classic cars, cooking, and traveling.

He is survived by his wife Lynda, brother Greg (Debbie) Kinnaman, sons Gary Lee II and Jason (Kim) Kinnaman, daughters Christi and Leslie (Chad) Sluder, step-children Cary (Sara) Thorne, Tonda  (Barry) Welch, Jay (Venus) Thorne, and by his much beloved grandchildren  Jarred, Brooklynn, Carter, Ben, Haley (Andrew), Macey, Alex (Lauren), Peyton, Paxton, Kainen (Brandi), Kelsie, Gary Lee III (Courtney), Maggie, Sydney, Drew, Delaney, Dane, and Victoria; and his great-grandchildren Jameson, Brilynn, Aries, Greyson, Rachel, George, Carter, River, Brailynn and baby Altmeyer to be born in August.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at O.D. Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Somebody's Place and mailed to 27 W. Locust St. Petersburg, IN 47567. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
