Etta Kay Carter, 69, of Petersburg passed away August 24, 2020. She was born October 16, 1950 to Vance and June (Newkirk) Myers in Washington, IN. She married her husband, Ron Carter, on April 12, 1969. She was a loving wife, mother, and adored her grandchildren.

Kay is survived by her husband, Ron Carter of Petersburg; sons, JR (Danielle) Carter and Kevin (Shawna) Carter of Petersburg; grandchildren, Nate Carter, Kody Carter, Bethany Carter, and Dominick Smith; brother, Reggie Myers of Petersburg; and sisters, Barbara Wilson and Sheila Hieple of Petersburg.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Vance and June (Newkirk) Myers and a brother, Denny Myers.

A graveside service for Kay will take place at 1:30 PM EST on Thursday, August 27, at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Monroe City, IN. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM on Thursday at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
