Ellen Barr, 76, of Petersburg, IN, passed away on October 5, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born August 23, 1950 to Walter Williard and Ruby (Campbell) Robbins in Hammond, IN. She went to college to become a Registered Nurse and worked at St. Vincent for 43 years. She married Larry Paul Barr on August 18, 1984.

Ellen is survived by her sons; Larry (LaTrisha) Barr, Jacob Barr; daughters, Jackie (Tim) Ashby, Sarah Barr; two sisters; three brothers; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother.

A graveside service for Ellen will take place on Monday, October 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM EST at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, IN. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
