Doretta Belle Royalty, 88, of Winslow, passed away January 3, 2024 in Evansville, IN. She was born November 20, 1935 to Alvy and Gladys (Sattler) Wallace in Petersburg, IN. She was a member of the Muren Church of God. She was an avid quilt maker, everyone in the whole family has a quilt that was made by Doretta.

Doretta is survived by her son, Jerry (Callie) Royalty of Petersburg; daughters, Carolyn Freeland of Fleetwood, PA, Donna (Dennis) Oldham of Newburgh, and Rhonda Enlow of Fort Branch; grandchildren, Jody Meeks, Chad Freeland, Bennett Royalty, Amber Belanger, Sandy Royalty, Jedidiah Oldham, Krystina Schoening, Kelsey Rose, and Lindsey Royalty; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Doretta is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Royalty; her parents; her 8-day old great grandson Kaiden Lamar Meeks in 2019; brothers, Robert Wallace and Arnold Wallace; and a sister, Alvetta Wallace.

Services for Doretta will take place on Monday, January 8, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN. Visitation will take place from 11 AM EST to 2 PM EST with a graveside service following at Augusta Cemetery in Augusta, IN. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
