Dona K. Minnis, 76, of Petersburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William R. and Frieda K. (Newton) Smith; daughter, Spicy M. Huck; and son, Todd E. Minnis.

Dona was well liked by many, working as a postal carrier in Winslow for over 30 years.  She was a Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star and a believer in the humane treatment of animals.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James E. Minnis; daughter, Wendy E. Goldsmith of Bentonville, AR; grandson Ethan Huck of Petersburg, IN; granddaughter Loren Huck of Petersburg, IN; grandson Grayson N. Goldsmith of St. Louis, MO; granddaughter Michaela E. Goldsmith of Omaha, NE; and brother Dennis R. Smith of Spokane, WA.

In accordance with Dona's wishes, there will be no services.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PAWS, P.O. Box 63, Petersburg, IN 47567.
