Owen Delmar Garretson, 92, of Petersburg, passed away June 16, 2021. He was born March 19, 1929 in Dutchtown, IN to Bernard and Ada Pearl (Thomas) Garretson. Delmar was a proud farmer. He sold for Moorman's Feed Co. and also sold Mason's Shoes.

Delmar is survived by his daughters, Ruthie (Steve) Barrett, Donna (Jerry Hodges) Miller, and Jean Ann Garretson; grandchildren, Greg and Trent Barrett, Brandee Mehringer, Tenaya Murray,and Jade, John Miller, and David Miller; great grandchildren, Beau, Zoey, and Grady Barrett, Anthony and Joey Kaiser, Paislee Miller, Alyssa Newton, Dakota Mehringer, and Sarah and Rahmi Walid; great-great grandchild, Octvia Rose Newton; niece and nephew, Sandy and John Tichenor; and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Grester Garretson and Thomas Lee Garretson.

A graveside service will take place for Delmar at 1:30 PM EST on Saturday, June 26, at Iva Cemtery in Iva, IN near Otwell, IN. Pastor Gary Arnold will officiate. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
