Charles Armon Young, 90, passed away December 10 at his home. He was born September 19, 1927 to Armon and Lillian (Myers) Young in Dale, IN. Charles served in the US Army as a Staff Sargent during WWII. He married his wife of 69 years, Martha Jean Young on May 29, 1948.

Charles is survived by his wife, Martha Young-Petersburg; son, Jeff (Elaine) Young-Oakland City; daughters, Jana (Greg) Dillon- Newburgh, IN and Kathy (Matt) Dye- Boise, ID; grandchildren, Josh Stewart, Nathan Stewart, and Justin Dye; 3 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 3 step grandchildren; and sisters, Arlene Barrett- Otwell and Alice Miller-Newburgh.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 14, from 4-8 PM EST at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN. Service will be held Friday, Dec. 15, at 1 PM EST at the Winslow Christian Church in Winslow, IN. Dr. Robert Asa will be officiating and burial will follow at Walnut Grove in Velpen. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
