Charles Edward Richardson, Jr., affectionately known as Junior, age 79, of Winslow, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at Brickyard Nursing Home.

Junior is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Donna Jean (Nash) Richardson; their children, Eddie (Roxann) Richardson, Cheryl Richardson, and James Christopher Richardson; grandchildren Casondra (Bill) Price, Dawnetta (Richie) Richardson, Rachel Harper, Kamie (Tiffany) Richardson, Audrian McNabb, Jeff Baize, Christopher Baize, and Mary Beth (Andrew) Bolin. He also leaves behind 18 great-grandchildren and one cherished great-great-grandson.

Junior was preceded in death by his mother, Elderee Bryant Richardson Snow; stepfather, Charles Snow; brother, Gary Snow; and his beloved grandparents, Harry and Ona (Loveless) Bryant, who raised Junior.

An esteemed U.S. Merchant Marine Officer (pilot), Junior was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a respected and well-loved member of the Winslow community, where he lived his entire life. More than anything, Junior was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. His family was his greatest joy, and he left a legacy of love, strength, and quiet wisdom.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, April 14, 2025, at O.D. Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana, with burial to follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00pm on Sunday, April 13, at the funeral home.
