Brittany Lee Brock, of Princeton, Indiana, passed away at her home on April 18, 2026. She was born on May 14, 1990, in Washington, Indiana. Brittany grew up with her family in Petersburg, Indiana, graduating from Pike Central High School in 2009.
Throughout her life, she worked in several places, but she was always a cook at heart, both on the job and at home. Cooking was something she took pride in and one of the ways she showed care for the people around her. Brittany was a mother to her son, Cole, whom she loved deeply. Their relationship was built on presence, loyalty, and acceptance.
She showed that love in the ways she knew how, through everyday presence, routine phone calls when he wasn’t home, making sure he had food to eat, and spending time together, especially during quiet nights. No matter what, she was always in his corner. Brittany had a strong love for animals. She cared for many over the years, especially her cat, Thena, and a chicken she rescued after it had been badly injured by a raccoon, giving it a second chance at life. She named her Mrs. Oats. That kind of compassion was a quiet but meaningful part of who she was. Brittany enjoyed Chinese food, watching movies, horseback riding, waterfalls, swimming, spelunking, and lying in the grass gazing at the stars. Most of all, she loved spending time with her mother.
She is survived by her son, Cole Brock (16); her parents, Cady (Cleaver) Brock (60) and Steve Brock (61); her siblings, Steve Zabin (38), Tyler Brock (33), and Alexis Brock (29); her aunt, Penny Cleaver (72); her uncles, Pat (68), Matt (66), and Tony Cleaver (59) and Martin Brock (64); and many cousins. Brittany was deeply loved by her family, and family is forever.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm EST on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Mosaic Church (formerly the Gospel Center), located at 420 E Illinois St, Petersburg, Indiana 47567, with visitation at the church from 2:00pm EST until service time.
All who knew Brittany, as well as those who wish to support her family, are welcome.
