Brian "Benny" K. Benefiel, 52, Petersburg, passed away February 27 th at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville. Brian was born July 18 th , 1966 in Paoli, Indiana to William G. Benefiel and Carolyn Taylor. He was a lifelong Petersburg resident. He was a miner at Peabody Coal Mine. Spending time with his grandchildren was his favorite hobby. He was a friend to everyone he met. He is survived by his wife, Becky Benefiel; his daughter, Jennifer Benefiel; his son, Keith Benefiel (Aly); one sister, Valerie Carter (Gary); two brothers, Michael Benefiel (Brandy), and Cory Benefiel; 6 grandchildren, Megan, Logan, Ryeli, Elaina, Loraina, and Trystan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Carolyn Benefiel, and his nephew, Jason Carter. Services were held at 2 PM on Monday, March 4, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg with visitation from 10 AM until service time. Burial was at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
