Bobby M. Majors, 76, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at his home in Petersburg, Indiana.

Bobby was born in North Carolina on July 7, 1949, to James and Pauline Majors. He retired from Indianapolis Power & Light in 2001 after 33 1/3 years of service, ending his career as the maintenance supervisor. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Petersburg, where he served as a trustee for many years. Additionally, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Hadi Shrine, and a talented artist. Above all else, Bobby was a devoted husband to his wife of 45 years, father, and friend on a mission to leave his family and community in a better place than he found it. To know Bobby was to love Bobby.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Sandy; son: Wyatt Majors; daughters: Melissa English, Mellinda Majors & Andrea Majors; 7 siblings; grandson Zachary Majors in addition to numerous other grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

A private family graveside will be held at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, Indiana.
